This was a very fun system to build. We recently had a young man find us online who came in to speak with us and decide if we were the correct fit for him. After a quick assessment the patient conveyed to us what he was looking for and we were able to take a look at what was going on. The patient was a young congenital amputee with a very short residual limb. His current prosthesis was just too big, and he complained it was too heavy. With such a short stump we decided upon elevated vacuum and a soft inner EMS style socket that will give the patient great suspension and proprioception. Underneath that we did an integrated expulsion line that comes out mid pylon and into an OttoBock Trition series foot. The patient is a full time nurse and is on his feet all day. We are looking forward to hearing how well it works for him.
